- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add the maple syrup and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remember, they will continue to firm up while cooling.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks.

Notes
To keep cookies soft and chewy, store them in an airtight container lined with a slice of bread. The bread will help maintain moisture but avoid eating it afterward as it will be too sweet.
