Ingredients

Crab Legs
  • 2 pounds king crab legs (thawed if frozen)
Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Adds zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Optional for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. If your crab legs are frozen, let them thaw in the fridge overnight.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Making Garlic Butter
  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
Arranging and Baking
  1. Place the crab legs in a single layer on a baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  2. Pour half of the garlic butter mixture over the crab legs.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until heated through. If desired, switch to broil for the last couple of minutes to achieve a crunchy texture, while keeping a close eye.
Serving
  1. Remove the crab legs from the oven and serve with the remaining garlic butter for dipping.
  2. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top for garnish.

Notes

For a perfect experience, don’t skip the butter! Use a crab cracker to easily break open the shells, and if fresh isn’t available, quality frozen crab legs work well as they are pre-cooked.
