Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour For the base of the bread.
  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F) To activate the yeast.
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast One packet for activating.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For moisture and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon sugar To help activate the yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon salt For seasoning.
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning For the Italian flavor.
Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For gooey texture.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese For extra flavor.
Optional Garnish
  • to taste chopped fresh parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Activation
  1. In a bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it gets frothy and bubbly.
Mixing Dry Ingredients
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and Italian seasoning.
Combine Dough
  1. Once the yeast is bubbly, add it to the dry mixture along with the olive oil. Mix until everything comes together and knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
Add Cheese
  1. Fold in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
First Rise
  1. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
Shape Dough
  1. Punch the dough down, shape it into a loaf or rolls.
Second Rise
  1. Place the shaped dough on a greased baking sheet, cover it again, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool & Serve
  1. Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Add your favorite herbs or a sprinkle of garlic powder for extra flavor. For a crusty exterior, place a pan of water in the oven while baking.
