Ingredients
Method
Activation
- In a bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it gets frothy and bubbly.
Mixing Dry Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and Italian seasoning.
Combine Dough
- Once the yeast is bubbly, add it to the dry mixture along with the olive oil. Mix until everything comes together and knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
Add Cheese
- Fold in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
First Rise
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
Shape Dough
- Punch the dough down, shape it into a loaf or rolls.
Second Rise
- Place the shaped dough on a greased baking sheet, cover it again, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool & Serve
- Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
Add your favorite herbs or a sprinkle of garlic powder for extra flavor. For a crusty exterior, place a pan of water in the oven while baking.
