  • 12 pieces ice cream sandwiches Choose your favorite flavors!
Toppings
  • 2 cups whipped topping Cool Whip works wonders here.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate fudge sauce For drizzling.
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce Optional; adds extra sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup crushed nuts or sprinkles For added crunch and color.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grab a rectangular baking dish and place 6 ice cream sandwiches side by side at the bottom.
  2. Spread a layer of whipped topping generously over the sandwiches.
  3. Drizzle about half of the chocolate fudge sauce over the whipped topping.
  4. Place the remaining 6 ice cream sandwiches on top and repeat the whipped topping and fudge drizzle steps. Optionally, add a layer of caramel sauce in between.
  5. Adorn the cake with the remaining whipped topping and sprinkle nuts or sprinkles on top.
  6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
  7. When ready to serve, slice like a cake and enjoy. Let it sit for a few minutes at room temperature for easier slicing.

Notes

Don’t worry if your cake isn’t perfect—rustic is in! Swap out the ice cream flavors as desired. For a healthier twist, use low-fat alternatives.
