Preparation
- Grab a rectangular baking dish and place 6 ice cream sandwiches side by side at the bottom.
- Spread a layer of whipped topping generously over the sandwiches.
- Drizzle about half of the chocolate fudge sauce over the whipped topping.
- Place the remaining 6 ice cream sandwiches on top and repeat the whipped topping and fudge drizzle steps. Optionally, add a layer of caramel sauce in between.
- Adorn the cake with the remaining whipped topping and sprinkle nuts or sprinkles on top.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
- When ready to serve, slice like a cake and enjoy. Let it sit for a few minutes at room temperature for easier slicing.
Notes
Don’t worry if your cake isn’t perfect—rustic is in! Swap out the ice cream flavors as desired. For a healthier twist, use low-fat alternatives.
