Ingredients
  

For the shrimp
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined) Fresh or frozen shrimp can be used.
For the sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (minced or grated)
For serving
  • Cooked rice or quinoa Use as a base.
  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the shrimp to the pan in a single layer, cooking for about 2-3 minutes without stirring.
  3. Pour the honey-garlic mixture over the shrimp, stirring to coat. Allow to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are cooked through and the sauce thickens slightly.
Serving
  1. Spoon the honey garlic shrimp over cooked rice or quinoa, and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, do not crowd the pan while cooking shrimp. Feel free to add veggies for a nutritional boost.
