Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle of about 12x15 inches.
- Spread a generous layer of marinara sauce over the dough, leaving an inch around the edges.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, followed by sliced pepperoni and Italian seasoning.
- Starting from one of the long ends, carefully roll the dough over the filling and tuck in the sides.
- Pinch the edges to seal well and cut a few slits on top for ventilation.
- Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with olive oil, and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it sit for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Feel free to mix and match fillings; cooked sausage, veggies, or leftover grilled chicken work great. Serve with extra marinara or garlic butter for dipping. You can also freeze an unbaked stromboli for later.
