Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the mashed bananas until just combined.
Baking
- Line a cupcake tin with colorful liners and fill each liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for approximately 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.
Decoration
- Top each cooled cupcake with a dollop of whipped cream.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup liberally over the whipped cream.
- Add a cherry on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
Notes
If short on ripe bananas, microwave slightly under-ripe bananas for about 30 seconds to soften. You can also swap half of the chocolate cake mix for vanilla for a different flavor.
