Ingredients

  • 2 tails lobster tails Cut down the middle lengthwise before grilling.
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Ensure shrimp are cleaned and ready to go.
Marinade
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 unit lemon, juiced Juice to be mixed into the marinade.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes For added spice.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • Fresh parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Carefully cut the lobster tails down the middle, lengthwise, exposing the meat while keeping it attached at one end.
  2. Ensure the shrimp are cleaned and ready to go.
Marinating
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  2. Toss the lobster and shrimp in the marinade, allowing them to coat evenly.
  3. Let marinate for about 30 minutes.
Grilling
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the lobster tails shell-side down on the grill, cooking for about 5-7 minutes or until the meat is opaque and charred, flipping halfway.
  3. Add the shrimp to the grill, cooking for about 2-3 minutes per side.
Serving
  1. Remove the lobster and shrimp from the grill and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  2. Serve immediately.

Notes

If the lobster shells cling to the meat, use a spatula to gently nudge them. Avoid overcooking the shrimp to prevent rubberiness. Consider using a grilling basket for shrimp to prevent them from falling through the grates.
