Method
Preparation
- Carefully cut the lobster tails down the middle, lengthwise, exposing the meat while keeping it attached at one end.
- Ensure the shrimp are cleaned and ready to go.
Marinating
- In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the lobster and shrimp in the marinade, allowing them to coat evenly.
- Let marinate for about 30 minutes.
Grilling
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the lobster tails shell-side down on the grill, cooking for about 5-7 minutes or until the meat is opaque and charred, flipping halfway.
- Add the shrimp to the grill, cooking for about 2-3 minutes per side.
Serving
- Remove the lobster and shrimp from the grill and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
If the lobster shells cling to the meat, use a spatula to gently nudge them. Avoid overcooking the shrimp to prevent rubberiness. Consider using a grilling basket for shrimp to prevent them from falling through the grates.
