  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 piece Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 piece Juice of half a lemon
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Fresh dill or mint, chopped (optional for garnish)

Method

Prepare the Chicken Marinade
  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal it up tight and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Make the Tzatziki Sauce
  1. Combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Mix until everything is well-combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. Optional: Add chopped dill or mint for extra flavor.
Grill that Chicken
  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Plating Perfection
  1. Slice the chicken and serve it on a platter. Drizzle the tzatziki on top or serve it on the side for dipping.
  2. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For a quick option, use store-bought tzatziki. Extra cucumber can be tossed in a salad to reduce waste.
