Method
Preparation
- Cook your bacon in a skillet until crispy and drain on paper towels.
- While that’s happening, slice your brie and bread.
Assembly
- Spread a generous pat of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice of bread, layer your brie slices, followed by crispy bacon, a dollop of blackberry jam, and if you’re feeling adventurous, a few fresh basil leaves.
- Top it off with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place your sandwich in it.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the brie is melted and gooey.
Serving
- Once beautifully grilled, remove your sandwich from the pan, slice it in half, and prepare for an explosion of flavors.
Notes
Cooking at medium heat lets the cheese melt without burning the bread. For an extra bacon kick, feel free to add more! Try different jams like fig, apricot, or jalapeño for a twist.
