Ingredients
  

For the Bagels
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt the star of the show!
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour plus a little extra for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 option egg for egg wash—optional
Optional Toppings
  • sesame seeds, poppy seeds, everything bagel seasoning, or any favorite you fancy!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Once the mixture forms a dough, lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for about 5-6 times.
  4. Divide the dough into 4-6 equal pieces, roll each into a ball, poke a hole in the center, and stretch to create the bagel shape.
  5. Optional: Whisk the egg and brush it over the top of the bagels before adding any toppings.
  6. Place the bagels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Experiment with flavors by adding herbs, garlic powder, or cheddar cheese. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
