Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour the magical powder
  • 1 packet instant yeast for that rise to the occasion
  • 1 tablespoon sugar just a pinch of sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon salt to balance the flavors
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm milk like a cozy bath for your dough
  • 1/4 cup melted butter because everything is better with butter
  • 1 large egg the emulgator for culinary magic

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine your warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Whisk until blended.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stir to form a soft dough.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
Shaping and Rising
  1. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape them into balls.
  2. Place them in a greased baking dish and cover to let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bake the rolls for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Brush the tops with melted butter after removing from the oven.

Notes

You can prepare the dough a day in advance and store it in the fridge overnight. For flavored rolls, add herbs, cheese, or garlic before shaping.
