  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Cream Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy.
  2. Remove the bacon and drain it on a paper towel.
  3. In the same pan, add the Brussels sprouts cut-side down and sauté for about 5 minutes until golden.
  4. Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder over medium-low heat, whisking until thickened.
Final Assembly
  1. Stir the crispy bacon pieces back into the Brussels sprouts and drizzle the cream sauce on top.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes to the mustard sauce. Substitute ingredients based on availability for a unique twist.
