Preparation
- Slice the loaf of Italian bread in half horizontally.
- Scoop out some of the soft interior if you prefer a crustier bite.
Layering
- Spread half of the olive salad onto the bottom half of the bread.
- Layer the salami, mortadella, and ham on top of the olive salad.
- Add the provolone cheese on top of the meats.
- Place the sliced pickles on top of the cheese.
- Spread the remaining olive salad on the top half of the bread.
- Carefully place the top half on the sandwich.
Press and Serve
- Gently press the sandwich down to help the flavors meld.
- Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and place a heavy pan on top for about 30 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Slice it into wedges and serve.
Notes
You can switch up the ingredients based on personal preference or add some pepperoncini for heat. Make ahead and refrigerate for a tasty experience later.
