  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined fresh or thawed if frozen
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided because more butter equals more flavor
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced the more, the merrier
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning feel free to add more if desired
  • 1 teaspoon salt for flavoring the shrimp
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper just a dash
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh is always better
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese for cheesy goodness
  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet, sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp starts turning pink.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in lemon juice and half of the parmesan cheese.
  2. Transfer the shrimp mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top.
  3. Dot with the remaining tablespoon of butter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until shrimp are fully cooked and opaque.
  2. Once baked, sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Feel free to use frozen shrimp, just ensure they're thawed before cooking. Substitute parmesan with mozzarella or feta for a twist. Adding spinach or cherry tomatoes before baking provides added nutrition and color.
