Ingredients
  

Pasta and Shrimp
  • 8 ounces spaghetti (or your favorite pasta)
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
Sauce and Seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 unit Juice of 1 lemon
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish for presentation

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
Sautéing the Shrimp
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  2. Add the shrimp, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink.
Combining the Ingredients
  1. Once the shrimp are cooked, drain the pasta and toss it into the skillet with the shrimp. Squeeze lemon juice over the top and mix well.
Serving
  1. Plate the pasta and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp as they can become rubbery. You can use any pasta you prefer for this dish and it’s also freezer-friendly if you have leftovers.
