  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lemon Juice of 1 lemon for extra zest
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional) highly recommended for presentation
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste for a spicy kick

Preparation
  1. Start by rinsing your shrimp under cold water and then patting them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned.
Cooking
  1. Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  2. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the cooked shrimp and toss to combine.
  3. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread.

Notes

Don’t crowd the pan while cooking to ensure proper searing. Frozen shrimp can be used if thawed and patted dry. A splash of white wine can enhance flavor.
