Preparation
- If using frozen lobster tails, thaw completely. Rinse and pat scallops dry.
- Season scallops and lobster with salt and pepper.
Cooking Lobster
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add lobster tails and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through and golden. Remove from skillet.
Searing Scallops
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter.
- Once hot and bubbly, add scallops and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and opaque.
- Remove scallops and add them with the lobster.
Making Garlic Sauce
- Using the remaining butter in the skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
- Stir in red pepper flakes, chopped parsley, and lemon juice.
- Pour the garlic butter sauce over the scallops and lobster before serving.
Plating and Serving
- Serve the dish on a lovely plate, drizzling any remaining sauce on top.
- Pair with a side of pasta or a fresh salad.
Notes
Ensure scallops are dry before cooking for a perfect sear. Don't overcrowd skillet to avoid steaming. Adjust butter quantity to taste.
