  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Classic unsalted butter is preferred.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Increase for a stronger garlic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Adds great flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley For color and additional flavor.
  • to taste Salt and black pepper Adjust to your preference.

Preparation
  1. In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat, being careful not to brown it.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and stir for 1-2 minutes until soft and fragrant, but not browned.
  3. Add the dried oregano and parsley along with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Let the sauce simmer on very low heat for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Use the garlic butter sauce immediately or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

For a vegan option, replace the butter with vegan butter or olive oil. Adding lemon juice or zest can brighten the flavors. Feel free to add more garlic for a stronger taste.
