Ingredients

For the Lobster Medallions
  • 2 pieces lobster tails for about 4 servings
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 whole lemon, juiced
  • to taste none salt
  • to taste none pepper
  • as needed none chopped parsley for garnish
  • optional none red pepper flakes for added spice

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully cut the lobster tails down the center back with kitchen scissors or a knife to expose the meat, being cautious not to cut all the way through.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it's bubbly. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1-2 minutes, just until fragrant, avoiding browning the garlic.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in lemon juice, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Optionally add red pepper flakes.
Cooking
  1. Place the lobster tails, cut side up, on a baking pan. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the meat.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster is opaque and cooked through.
Serving
  1. Once done, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately, ideally paired with a fresh salad or over pasta.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the lobster to prevent a rubbery texture. Use fresh lobster for best flavor, and consider making a lobster feast with customizable butter options.
