Ingredients

For the rollups
  • 1 pound ground beef You can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to mix with your favorite cheese.
  • 3 tablespoons garlic butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for garnish Chopped fresh parsley Optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and season it with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Cook until browned (about 7-10 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the ketchup and mustard, combining everything well.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough on a floured surface. You can separate the triangles or pinch them together to make a rectangle—just make sure there are no gaps.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture onto the wide end of each triangle, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, then roll it up from the wide end to the pointy end.
  6. Place the rolled-up beauties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with the melted garlic butter.
Baking
  1. Bake the rollups for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  2. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

If you find a hole in your dough while rolling, just patch it up with leftover dough or extra cheese. These rollups can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
