Ingredients
Method
Start with the Filling
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add in your chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until the onions are translucent.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
Prepare the Garlic Bread
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt until well combined.
- Heat a separate skillet over medium-high heat.
- Split the hoagie rolls in half and spread the garlic butter mixture generously on each side.
- Toast the rolls, cut side down, in the skillet until golden brown—around 2-3 minutes.
Assemble and Serve
- Once the Sloppy Joe filling has thickened, spoon it generously into the toasted garlic bread.
- Serve with a side of pickles and a sprinkle of extra parsley for garnish.
Notes
