  • 4-6 cloves cloves of garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil Use high-quality olive oil.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • a pinch red pepper flakes Optional, for added heat.
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped Adds color and flavor.

Method
 

Sautéing the Garlic
  1. In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once warm, add the minced garlic. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until it turns golden brown. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Seasoning Magic
  1. As the garlic cooks, sprinkle in salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir well and let the flavors mingle for another minute.

Notes

You can substitute sautéed shallots if garlic is not an option. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat before using.
