Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Slice each croissant in half, making sure to not cut all the way through.
Heating the Oil
- In a medium-sized pot or deep skillet, pour enough oil to submerge the croissants halfway (about 2 inches deep).
- Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it is hot enough for frying.
Frying Time
- Carefully drop in the croissant halves, a few at a time, and fry for about 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Set the fried croissants on paper towels to soak up excess oil.
Dusting with Sugar
- While they’re still warm, dust the croissants generously with powdered sugar.
- Mix in a pinch of cinnamon if desired for added flavor.
Serving
- Serve warm, pairing with coffee, tea, or juice.
Notes
Check the oil temperature before frying to ensure it's ready. Dust with sugar while warm for best results. Optional toppings include chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
