- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil (or butter) and let it warm up. When the oil shimmers, add the sliced sausage. Cook for about 5 minutes until it's nicely browned.
- Toss in the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until aromatic and the onion turns translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Stir and let it cook for about 5-7 minutes, until slightly wilted.
- Gently fold in the shrimp and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Chop your veggies the night before for faster preparation. The dish is flexible; feel free to add other veggies like bell peppers or broccoli.
