Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 loaf French bread A classic must!
  • 1 cup pizza sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Because who can resist cheese?
Toppings
  • Your favorite toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, etc.) Customize as desired
  • Italian seasoning Optional for an extra kick

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the French bread in half horizontally and lay it cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce over each half.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce, adding Italian seasoning if desired.
  5. Add any toppings your heart desires, such as pepperoni, olives, or fresh veggies.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Slice the boats into manageable pieces and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to use any bread you have on hand and include leftovers as toppings. These pizza boats freeze well when wrapped in foil and stored in an airtight container.
