- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cherry pie filling and miniature marshmallows. Stir gently; we want to keep it light and fluffy.
- Add in the whipped topping and fold it in gently.
- If using, stir in the chopped pecans and shredded coconut for added texture and flavor.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least two hours to let the flavors mingle.
- When ready to serve, scoop portions into bowls or onto a platter. Top with a maraschino cherry.
Notes
Use pre-made whipped topping to save time. You can substitute cherry pie filling with other fruits such as peach or blueberry.
