Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey) Use ground turkey for a healthier option.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Follow package instructions for seasoning the meat.
  • 1 head lettuce, chopped Any variety of lettuce can be used.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes Fresh or canned tomatoes work well.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or a taco blend is recommended.
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained Rinse beans well before adding.
  • 1 cup corn Canned, frozen, or fresh corn can be used.
  • 1 bag Doritos (nacho cheese flavor) Crushed before serving for added crunch.
  • 1 cup Catalina dressing Or your favorite dressing.
Optional Toppings
  • 1 cup diced avocado For added creaminess.
  • 1 cup sliced olives Add for tanginess.
  • 1 cup sliced jalapeƱos Add for a spicy kick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef (or turkey). Once cooked through, drain the excess fat and add taco seasoning. Follow package instructions for preparation.
  2. While the meat simmers, chop the lettuce and tomatoes, and rinse the black beans.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, black beans, and corn. Toss gently.
  2. Once the meat is seasoned, let it cool for a minute, then add it to the salad mixture and stir until well combined.
Serving
  1. Crush the Doritos slightly and sprinkle them over the salad just before serving.
  2. Drizzle the Catalina dressing over the top and toss gently. Adjust flavors as needed.
  3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

You can prep the salad ahead of time but keep the Doritos separate until serving. Personalize the salad with your favorite toppings.
