Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage until fully cooked. Use a spatula to crumble the meat as it cooks.
- Add the sliced pepperoni into the skillet and stir everything together. If desired, add some chopped veggies now and let it cook for about 2 more minutes.
- Roll out the crescent dough onto the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pressing the seams together to form an even layer.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly over the dough. Pour pizza sauce over the top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over everything.
- Top with the second can of crescent roll dough, tearing it into pieces and scattering over the cheese.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
This recipe can be prepared ahead and refrigerated. It also freezes well if assembled but not baked. Feel free to swap out the meats or add your favorite toppings.
