For the Crispy Salmon
  • 4 fillets salmon fillets Skin-on fillets work best for crispiness.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground is preferable.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For frying.
For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Use a full-fat version for creaminess.
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce Adjust based on your spice tolerance.
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Optional for extra heat.
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice Freshly squeezed.
For Serving
  • 2 cups cooked rice White or brown rice.
  • 1 cup steamed vegetables Broccoli or snap peas are great choices.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy.
  2. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice. Mix well.
Assembly
  1. Serve the crispy salmon over a bed of cooked rice and steamed vegetables.
  2. Drizzle with creamy bang bang sauce before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
