Ingredients

Chicken and Seasoning
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For searing the chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adjust based on preference
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adjust based on preference
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Creamy Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoncini Feel free to adjust based on your love for spice
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or coconut milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth Used to deglaze the skillet
Garnish
  • Fresh parsley Optional, for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Searing the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Creating the Creamy Sauce
  1. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chicken broth, scraping up any flavorful bits left behind.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and sliced pepperoncini. Mix well and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Combining and Cooking
  1. Return the chicken to the skillet and allow it to simmer in the sauce for another 5-10 minutes.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over your favorite side, like mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

Adjust the spice level by reducing the amount of pepperoncini. Leftover sauce can be used for veggies or as a topping for baked potatoes. Add spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
