- Start by rinsing and patting your shrimp dry.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together.
- Add the minced garlic, and sauté for about 30 seconds, or until it’s fragrant.
- Add your shrimp to the skillet, seasoning them with salt and pepper.
- Cook them on each side for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink.
- Once cooked, add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese to the skillet.
- Stir it all together and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serving
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
Notes
Fresh shrimp is fantastic, but frozen can also be used. Don’t overcook the shrimp to avoid rubbery texture. This dish shines particularly well on fettuccine pasta.
