Ingredients

For the Skillet
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Best for flavor
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a creamy texture
  • 1 cup seafood mix Can include shrimp, scallops, and squid
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 0.5 cup fresh parsley, chopped For garnish
  • 2 lemon wedges For serving

Method

Sauté the Aromatics
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and butter. Once the butter melts, throw in the minced garlic. Sauté it until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Don’t let that garlic burn.
Add the Seafood
  1. Add the seafood mix to the skillet. Season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the seafood is opaque and tender.
Time for Creaminess
  1. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Turn the heat down to low and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
Finishing Touches
  1. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and garnish with lemon wedges before serving.

Notes

Feel free to add red pepper flakes for some heat. Substitute seafood mix with shrimp or chicken if preferred. This dish can also be made gluten-free by serving it with rice or zucchini noodles.
