Method
Cooking the Bacon
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel to soak up some of the grease.
Sautéing the Mushrooms
- In the same skillet, toss in the mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes, until they start to turn golden brown. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
Adding Garlic
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Making It Creamy
- Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for a few minutes, scraping the browned bits off the bottom of the pan.
- Mix in the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Add the crispy bacon back into the mixture, and season with salt and pepper.
Serving
- Serve warm and sprinkle fresh parsley on top for garnish.
