Ingredients

For the Bake
  • 2 cans Crescent Rolls
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting, optional) Optional for garnish
  • 1/2 cup fruit topping (like strawberries or blueberries, optional) Optional for serving

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Open the cans of crescent rolls and unroll them carefully. Lay them flat on a greased baking dish, pressing the seams together to form a solid layer.
  4. Dollop the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust.
  5. Roll out the second can of crescent rolls and place it over the filling, pinching the edges to seal.
Baking and Serving
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  2. Once cooled, slice into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired. Top with fruit glaze for added sweetness.

Notes

Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. Substitute cream cheese with ricotta or mascarpone if needed.
