Preparation
- Spread a generous layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the non-buttered side of one slice, layer turkey, cheese, and cranberry sauce. Top with the second slice of bread, butter side up.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the assembled sandwich in the pan.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese is melted, then flip and cook the other side.
- Once both sides are crispy and the cheese is gooey, slice in half and serve warm.
Notes
If using pre-sliced turkey, this becomes a quick 10-minute meal. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses, such as Gruyère, for added sophistication. For homemade cranberry sauce, combine fresh cranberries with sugar and orange juice.
