  • 4 slices sourdough or whole wheat bread Your choice!
  • 4 ounces creamy brie cheese, sliced
  • 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter Butter makes everything better!
  • to taste fresh basil leaves Optional ingredient

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Spread butter generously on one side of each bread slice.
  2. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer with brie and mozzarella slices.
  3. Spread cranberry sauce on top of the cheeses.
  4. Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side up.
  5. Heat up a skillet over medium-low heat and place the sandwiches in the pan.
  6. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is gooey.
  7. Slice each sandwich in half and optionally garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Don't rush the heat to avoid burning the bread while the cheese remains unmelted. Consider adding thinly sliced apples or pecans for extra crunch. If things get messy, embrace it as part of the delicious experience!
