Ingredients

For the Rolls
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F to 115°F)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
For the Cinnamon Honey Spread
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Method

Preparation
  1. Add the warm milk, sugar, melted butter, and eggs to your bread machine pan. Then sprinkle in the salt, flour, and yeast. Don’t stir.
  2. Close the lid and set your bread machine to the dough cycle.
Shaping and Rising
  1. Once the dough cycle is complete, lightly flour a clean surface and punch down the dough. Divide the dough into about 12 pieces and shape them into rolls.
  2. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, giving them a little room to grow.
  3. Cover the dish with a clean towel and let the rolls rise in a warm place until they double in size—about 30 to 40 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Bake the rolls for about 15 to 20 minutes or until they’re golden brown.
Making the Spread
  1. While the rolls are baking, mix softened butter, powdered sugar, honey, and ground cinnamon in a bowl until fluffy.
Serving
  1. Once the rolls are out of the oven, brush them with a little melted butter and serve warm with the cinnamon honey spread on the side.

Notes

For lighter rolls, make sure not to overload the dough with flour. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for longer storage. You can make the rolls by hand by kneading the dough for 8 to 10 minutes if you don't have a bread machine.
