  • 1 cup shredded coconut (unsweetened) Unsweetened is best for a healthier option
  • 1/2 cup almond flour Use oat flour for a nut-free option
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup For that perfect hint of sweetness
  • 1/4 cup coconut cream The creamier, the better!
  • 1/2 cup chocolate spread Nutella fans, this is for you!
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt To balance out the sweetness
Optional Toppings
  • to taste extra shredded coconut For a decorative finish
  • to taste chopped nuts For added texture

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, almond flour, honey, coconut cream, and sea salt. Stir until well combined to achieve a sticky yet moldable consistency.
  2. Using your hands, scoop out the mixture and mold it into a dome shape. Place your formed dome on a chilled plate or tray.
  3. Refrigerate the coconut dome for about 30 minutes to help it hold its shape.
Assembly
  1. Once chilled, spread your favorite chocolate spread over the top and sides of the coconut dome.
  2. If desired, sprinkle extra shredded coconut and chopped nuts on top.
  3. Slice into wedges or serve whole as a centerpiece.

Notes

For an added touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the dome before serving. This dessert keeps well in the refrigerator for up to three days.
