Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Mix in the flour until just combined. Don't worry if it looks a little lumpy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, then whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust. Optionally, sprinkle nutmeg on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45-55 minutes until the center is set and lightly jiggly. A toothpick should come out clean.
