- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 1/2 cups of sugar until smooth.

- Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll them in the remaining 3/4 cup of sugar.
- Place the balls onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.

- Allow the cookies to cool on the sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
