Ingredients
  

For the Pie
  • 1 pie crust 1 unbaked pie crust homemade or store-bought
  • 1 cup 1 cup corn syrup can be substituted with maple syrup or honey
  • 1 cup 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well incorporated.
  3. Stir in the pecans until they are well coated with the filling.
  4. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  5. Bake for about 60-70 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  6. Once done baking, let the pie cool completely before serving.

Notes

Store-bought crust is acceptable. This pie tastes better the next day if stored in the fridge. Optionally, swirl in a bit of bourbon for extra flavor.
