Ingredients

For the rolls
  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 8 links breakfast sausage
For the egg mixture
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For serving
  • Maple syrup for drizzling, optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the breakfast sausage links according to the package instructions. Once they’re nice and golden brown, set them aside.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles, laying them out on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. Dip a sausage link into the egg mixture, then place it at the wide end of a crescent triangle. Roll it up tightly, tucking in the sides. Repeat for all sausage links.
Baking
  1. Bake the rolls in the oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Once out of the oven, drizzle with maple syrup if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to swap out sausage for a vegetarian alternative. You can prep these rolls the night before and bake them in the morning.
