Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk the buttermilk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
- Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until you see no more dry flour.
- Fold in the colorful sprinkles.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a homemade buttermilk, mix 1 cup of milk with 1 tablespoon of vinegar and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Double the sprinkles for extra color. Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days.
