  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk Or make your own with milk and vinegar.
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup colorful sprinkles For decoration.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the buttermilk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until you see no more dry flour.
  5. Fold in the colorful sprinkles.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a homemade buttermilk, mix 1 cup of milk with 1 tablespoon of vinegar and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Double the sprinkles for extra color. Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days.
