Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure butter is at room temperature.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Chocolate
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips work well.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mixing
  1. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Combining
  1. Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
  2. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden.
Cooling
  1. Let cookies cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
