  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Sifted for better texture
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Helps cookies rise

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract For flavor
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Semi-sweet or milk chocolate

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  3. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
