Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Add-ins
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Semi-sweet or milk chocolate

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until fully combined.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
