Ingredients
  

For the Cookies
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter Softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Semi-sweet

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs, and beat well.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For softer cookies, do not overbake. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
