Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, Cherry Dr. Pepper, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
- Carefully fold in the cherry pie filling until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a cherry on top.
