Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
- Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly on top of the cherry filling.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
- Bake for about 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
Notes
Feel free to use other fruit fillings like blueberries or peaches. Crushed nuts or chocolate chips can also be added on top before baking for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
